During the past two years Joanne has participated in the C.O.P. (Circle of Parents) group and is currently attending Love & Logic classes.

Following our path to a brighter future!
Asher and Isabelle are siblings six years apart in age. At a very young age, both were victims of child abuse. Asher was greatly impacted by the abuse. His ability to trust and his desire to be close to anyone other than his little sister, Isabelle, were affected. He experienced insomnia, depression, and other behavioral concerns. All of these issues resulted in the need for numerous prescribed medications.
Many families were willing to adopt Isabelle, but hesitated adopting both siblings because of Asher’s behavior problems…that is…until the Hawkins came into their lives.

Pathways, MI & the Gaiser family kept them together.

Levon and Lee suffered horrible neglect by their parents, were removed from their home. The brothers were separated, and Levon was placed in foster care while Lee was placed in residential care.
Dan and Martha Gaiser, Levon’s foster parents, always supported visits between Levon and his brother. They recognized that Levon had suffered many losses and resolved that they would not allow him to lose his big brother.
They made the decision to adopt Levon AND Lee to complete their family.
